From my early years as a Physical Education and Health teacher, I developed a deep passion for working with children and understanding their unique needs. This passion naturally led me to the field of Orthotics, with a special focus on pediatric care. I've always been dedicated to helping others, and there is nothing more rewarding than supporting children in reaching milestones they might have thought were beyond their grasp. Equally fulfilling is witnessing the joy and relief on parents' faces when their child surpasses expectations. These experiences make it easy to continue loving what I do.
My career in orthotics and prosthetics began as a prosthetic technician in upstate New York, where I quickly discovered a passion for using my hands to create something that could improve the lives of others. After becoming a registered prosthetic technician, I pursued further education in orthotics at Northwestern. A move to Maryland steered me toward pediatric care, and eventually, I opened my own successful practice for 27 years.
I am a volunteer for World Pediatrics and attend bi-yearly mission trips to Belize where I have assisted in starting a pediatric clinic. I have been to Belize 32 times over the past 14 years.
I have been married for 44 years and have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. I love to snow ski, boat and play golf.
