My goal is to ensure that every patient and their family feel comfortable and well cared for when working with me. I believe that involving families in the orthotic plan and ensuring they understand it leads to the best outcomes. I am passionate about collaborating with and educating both patients and their families. Every child is unique, and I strive to provide the best, most clear solutions tailored to each individual. My patients' quality of life and personal goals are as important to me as they are to them. This commitment drives me to deliver the highest level of care and support.
I began my career as a high school Athletic Trainer and was introduced to Orthotics & Prosthetics through an athlete who wore a prosthesis. The blend of science and art in this field captivated me, and I knew I had found my calling. I pursued a post-baccalaureate certificate in Orthotics and Prosthetics and have been practicing as a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist since 2014. I have worked with both adult and pediatric populations, but I discovered my true passion when I specialized in pediatrics. Working with children and their families, particularly those needing cranial helmets, brings me immense joy. For the past 9 years, I have been a cranial specialist, serving Northern California and, for the past 4 years, the Aurora community. As a mother of two children, one with special needs, I understand how overwhelming medical appointments can be. I am committed to making the orthotic process transparent, collaborative, and a positive, even enjoyable, experience for both kids and their families.
Outside of work, I enjoy painting, traveling, practicing martial arts, and embarking on adventures with my two busy kids.
