I aim to help my patients be as comfortable as possible while still maintaining their activity level. We only get one childhood and I want to improve my patient's quality of life to the best of my ability.
Throughout high school and college, I had the privilege of coaching gymnastics to children, which ignited my passion for teaching and working with young minds. As I pursued my undergraduate studies in health and exercise science, I felt a deep calling to channel this passion into a career in healthcare, particularly one focused on helping children. Upon graduating from college, I found myself at a crossroads, unsure of the path ahead. Eager to embark on my journey, I cast a wide net, applying to numerous entry-level positions within hospitals. It was during my tenure as a rehabilitation technician at an outpatient neurological rehabilitation clinic that I had a profound realization: the field of prosthetics and orthotics held the key to fulfilling my desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
The opportunity to assist my patients in improving their mobility, enhancing their comfort, and ultimately reclaiming their independence resonated deeply with me. Thus, I committed myself to pursuing a career as an orthotist, driven by the prospect of positively impacting the lives of those in need. Now, as I embark on this new chapter of my journey, I am thrilled to join the esteemed team at OrthoPediatrics as a resident orthotist. Here, I am eager to immerse myself in a rich learning environment, surrounded by experienced clinicians who share my dedication to pediatric care. With boundless enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence, I look forward to honing my skills, expanding my knowledge, and, above all, making a tangible difference in the lives of the young patients entrusted to our care.
