As healthcare professionals, we should have the patient's best interest at heart to achieve a positive outcome. This happens when we work closely with the patient, family, physicians, and therapists. Open lines of communication help us provide the most appropriate and functional orthosis.
I completed my Master's degree in Athletic Training in Philadelphia, where I also had a memorable summer rotation with an Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) company. I graduated during the peak of COVID, a challenging time when most schools weren’t hiring, so I chose to stay in the Philadelphia area, working with an orthopedic group in their orthotics department for four years. After six years in Philadelphia, I moved back to New Jersey to be closer to my family. I wanted to remain in patient care, which led me to Boston O&P. Having worked primarily with older patients, I’m excited to shift my focus to helping the pediatric population!
