Their older son, Ethan, had also experienced plagiocephaly, so they were familiar with the early signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWithin Jackson\u2019s first month, we noticed some flattening on the back of his head. At his two-month checkup, our pediatrician confirmed our concerns,\u201d his mom recalls. \u201cHe mentioned that Jackson\u2019s flattening was actually more pronounced than Ethan\u2019s had been at the same age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of their past experience, Jackson\u2019s family knew early intervention was essential\u2014and they moved quickly to begin the evaluation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Learning_from_Their_First_Experience\"><\/span><strong>Learning from Their First Experience<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even though they weren\u2019t new to the diagnosis, they carried lessons from their first journey through helmet therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith our oldest, we faced challenges like skin sores, fit issues, and unclear communication. We just wanted things to be smoother and more supportive this time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Determined to find a better experience for Jackson, the family explored new care options\u2014and discovered OP Specialty Bracing (OPSB)\u2019s brand-new Columbus, Ohio clinic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;No parent wants to hear their baby needs a helmet, but we knew acting quickly would give Jackson the best outcome. At his three-week checkup, the family got incredible news: Jackson\u2019s head shape had already improved significantly. \u201cIt was so encouraging to see visible progress so soon.
