As a pediatric certified orthotist, I am passionate about helping children achieve their greatest potential through personalized, evidence-based orthotic care. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to move comfortably, participate fully in daily activities, and develop confidence in their abilities. My approach centers on understanding each child's unique needs, goals, and stage of development while working closely with families and healthcare providers to create effective, functional solutions. By combining clinical expertise with compassion and collaboration, I strive to provide orthotic care that enhances mobility, promotes independence, and supports long-term growth and participation. My goal is not only to improve function, but also to empower children and their families throughout their journey, helping them thrive at home, in school, and within their communities.
Growing up, I've always been interested in helping people. I participated in various mission trips in high school and college, joined Alpha Phi Omega (a service fraternity), and volunteered with the Special Olympics. I always knew my future was going to be in an industry to help others. I found myself shadowing a Certified Orthotist my senior year of college and knew immediately that I wanted to be an orthotist. Upon graduating from the Newington Certificate Program in 2011, I completed my residency in Kansas City, Kansas/Missouri, where I received extensive training in pediatric orthotics and developed a strong passion for helping children achieve their highest level of function and independence. After completing my residency and working in Louisville, KY for a year, I returned to Connecticut, where I was born and raised, and worked with a local practice specializing in pediatric care. I later expanded my clinical experience by working with adult patients, broadening my expertise across a wide range of orthotic conditions and treatment approaches. Throughout my career, my greatest professional interest has remained helping children maximize their mobility, independence, and participation in everyday activities. I am grateful to have returned to pediatric-focused care, where I can continue supporting children and their families through individualized orthotic treatment.
I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and our three young children, who keep me active and busy outside of work.
