Philosophy

As a distance runner, I really appreciate the physical, mental and social health benefits that being active provides.  I believe there are far more health benefits that those that meet the eye.  I think every person deserves the chance to experience these benefits.  Working in pediatrics allows us as clinicians to encourage proper biomechanics and proper development to the young population which can lead to a lifetime of success for our patients!

Bio

I was introduced to the field of orthotics and prosthetics in undergrad during a summer internship at Bionic Pets.  I worked as an assistant and got the opportunity to evaluate, cast and fabricate braces and prostheses for animals.  It was such a rewarding experience and I learned to love the feeling of helping someone regain mobility.  That is when I knew that I wanted to make this my career.  I attended NUPOC upon graduation form Penn State and completed my residency last year at the Richmond VAMC.  Now I am in my orthotics residency and I am very eager to continue making an impact!
